Process to create detachable plug fit join between two components dispenses with prior art machining for the component parts

The process creates a detachable plug-fit join between first and second components (1,2). The second or clamping component is elastically deformed to match and grip the outer contour of the first component, leaving a pre-defined degree of dimensional play. The two components are plugged together, expelling air and creating a pressure connection. The elastic deformation of the second component is then partly reversed by axial pressure force in the vicinity of the outer contour of the first component.
