<p>The invention concerns a post-harvest method for treating fruits and vegetables, characterised in that it comprises steps which consist in: a) bringing a treatment composition to a temperature between 40 and 60 °C; b) subjecting, for more than 10 minutes, said fruits and vegetables to jet-spray with said treatment composition or by immersion in said treatment composition, before the fruits and vegetables are stored; said treatment composition comprises, in weight percentages: 10 to 40 % of an active principle selected among eugenol, a eugenol salt fit for human food, isoeugenol, a isoeugenol salt fit for human food and their mixtures; 0 to 90 % of a non-ionic surfactant; and 0 to 90 % of a solvent selected among aliphatic alcohol's, glycol's, water and carboxylic acid alkyl esters, and their mixtures. The method does not include the treatment of tubers and bulbs.</p> |
