An automotive hand brake lever is linked to the wheel brake via a double cable (1) arrangement running through two guide tubes (3). The hand brake lever pulls on a fixture located within an essentially T-shaped flange of U-cross-section and pivoting on an L-shaped baseplate (10). The cable ends are secured to the flange (30) by nipples (4). A V-shaped guide (20) mounted with its apex to the baseplate has grooves for the two cables.
