The device (10) has at least one weighing unit (43) to weigh the ampoules before and after they have been filled. A conveyor (11) transports a number of ampoules. A filling device has a filling needle for each ampoule. A device to remove and replace the ampoules from and to the conveyor has a single gripper (38), which is arranged near the filling device. The device removes the ampoules before and after they have been filled when the conveyor is stationary, delivers each ampoule to a weighing unit and returns them to the conveyor after the weighing.
