<p>The invention concerns the production of polyester-type polymer and more particularly the condensation into solid phase of a polyester. It concerns a method for making a polyester comprising the following steps: a) esterifying or transesterifying with a diol a carboxylic diacid or a carboxylic diacid diester; b) prepolymerising the esterified or transesterified product in liquid phase up to an average degree of polymerisation ranging between 10 and 50, preferably between 20 and 45; c) producing a prepolymer dispersion in a liquid not dissolving the diol and not swelling the prepolymer, the prepolymer being present in the dispersion in the form of solid particles with diameter less than 2 mm and crystallised, having a crystal platelet thickness less than 17 nm; d) polymerising in dispersed solid phase; e) recuperating the solid particles. The production of a dispersed solid phase enables to improve the kinetics of the reaction. To obtain said improvement, the polymerisation in dispersed solid phase must be carried out on a prepolymer having specific properties of degree of polymerisation, of solid particle size, and crystalline qualities of the solid.</p> |
