SPACER FRAME FOR FLAT PANEL DISPLAY

A composite sealing frame structure for a flat panel display and a method for forming the same. In one embodiment, a rigid backbone component (2200) is provided with a first sealing material (2500) on a second of the sealing frame and a second sealing material (2502) on a second surface of the sealing frame. The frame can be made of alumina or steatite and can be formed by tape casting, extrusion, lamination or pressing.
