Smooth, fat tyres (6,9), fitted to attachments at the front and rear of a tractor, push water along waterlogged wheel ruts. At the turning point, the plough share (12) is used to cut a drainage channel to a convenient ditch. Alternatively, water could be sucked into a vehicle-mounted tank. Attachments (4,7) to a tractor (1) have undriven wheels of adjustable track. Their tyres (6,9) are ideally fatter than those of the tractor. With the tractor driven forwards (arrow A), the rear attachment (7) is raised. The tyres (6) propel water along the ruts, smooth tyre profiles forming a seal against the walls of the ruts. In reverse (arrow B), the rear tyres (9) perform the same function. The plough share (12), whose lateral position is adjustable, makes a channel to a ditch.
