[Also in Group XXX] In a feed-wheel 1 having a peripheral channel for conveying tobacco in which the latter is held by suction, the air permeable bottom 5 of the channel consists of a number of separate segments 4, Fig. 2. The sides of the segments are inserted between the peripheral rings 2, 2<SP>1</SP> of the wheel and its body 1. The segments may be formed by firing a ceramic or powder-metal mix. The space below the bottom 5 is connected to suction through a recess 3. |
