PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce melting and holding energy by improving the working surroundings, to achieve the miniaturization of the whole device, to enable the lowering of an equipment cost and a running cost and to obtain a cast product having high quality by easily restraining the oxidation of metallic material. SOLUTION: The pellet-like metallic material 25 held in a hopper 27 is fed into a metallic material holding chamber 33 at the front part of a piston 9 through a metallic material discharging passage 43 in a switching valve 39 as molten/semi-molten state metallic material 31 by heating with a heater 35 and rotating with a screw 23. The switching valve 39 is shiftable in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the attached figure 1 and the metallic material 31 in the metallic material holding chamber 33 is shifted into an injection sleeve 1 by advancing the piston 9 under condition of communicating the metallic material holding chamber 33 with the injection sleeve 1 by this shifting of the switching valve.
