PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of coating the inside of grooves of a flat substrate, on which a fine pattern is formed by the grooves on the surface, with a paint in a precise thickness. SOLUTION: A multiple sheet 20 is constituted of a base sheet 21 and a coating layer 22 of a silicone rubber and is spread flat. A fine pattern is formed on the surface of a recessed plate by grooves corresponding to the pattern of the surface of the substrate 10. A paint 33 is built up in the grooves of the recessed part at first. The multiple sheet 20 is arranged over the recessed part and aligned. The coating layer 22 is pressed on the recessed part to transfer the paint 33 on the surface of the coating layer 22. Next, the substrate 10 is arranged under the multiple sheet 20 and aligned. The prescribed pattern is formed on the surface of the substrate 10 by the grooves 11. The coating layer 22 is pressed on the surface of the substrate 10 to elastically deform the surface and is pushed into the grooved 11 with the paint 33.
