PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for using a portable bidirectional communication equipment capable of executing data transfer and personal communication. SOLUTION: A portable device includes a housing 11 storing many components enabling a user to carry out bidirectional communication including data transfer and personal communication. A smart card sensor 18 to be selectively driven, a display 12, a mobile electronic data communication body and a data transaction processing means 20 for communicating data to the sensor 18, the display device 12 and the data communication body are included in some of these components. Such portable equipment includes a ROM for storing a device call sign. The mobile data communication body receives a call sign transmitted from a remote medium and the processing means 20 determines whether the received call sign coincides with the device call sign stored in the ROM or not. When the received call sign coincides with the device call sign, the portable equipment transmits a response. |
