PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel lithium secondary battery. SOLUTION: This lithium secondary battery uses lithium manganese oxide of spinel crystalline structure represented by a formula [Li] (8a) [LiXMn2-X-Y-ZNiY(square)Z] (16d)O4 (32e) (0.01<=X<=0.15, 0.01<=Y<=0.20, 0.0<=Z<=0.02, (square) represents a hole, and a site position of the spinel structure is indicated in ()). Whereby the lithium manganese oxide-type lithium secondary battery superior in the recycling characteristic, which can not be achieved in a conventional secondary battery, can be provided. |
