PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable fixed image even when operation speed is made high by providing an electrifying means for electrifying the surface of a rotating body constituted of an insulating releasing layer to the same polarity as toner and performing electrification only in a fixing preparation period at the time of starting a series of printing operation as the operation timing of the electrifying means. SOLUTION: The surface of a fixing film 13a is constituted of the complete insulating releasing layer 13a'. As for electrification control, a power source is turned on and a pressure roller is rotated when a printing signal is generated and a heater is turned on later by required time so as to start heating in a fixing device. Fixing preparation operation for heating the heater with full power until a thermistor 11' detects required fixing temperature is started. At such a time, the surface of the fixing film 13a is electrified by a corotron electrifier provided inside the fixing device nearly simultaneously with the rotation of the pressure roller. When the thermistor 11' detects the required fixing temperature, the electrification is stopped. Namely, the corotron electrifier is actuated only in a short time in the fixing preparation period. |
