PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain new cytochrome P-450 gene which is derived from basidiomycete Coprinus cinereus, and is useful for creating a plant whose protein composition was modified, a plant and a basidiomycete to which a useful character was given, and so on. SOLUTION: This new cytochrome P-450 gene shown by the formula, which is derived from basidiomycete Coprinus cinereus and so on, and can be utilized for creating a plant whose composition such as protein was modified, a plant and a basidiomycete to which a useful character was given, and so on, is obtained by extracting genomic DNA from C. cinereus, digesting the obtained DNA with restriction enzyme(s), fractionating the obtained DNA fragments according to well-known methods such as sucrose density gradient centrifugation and cesium chloride equilibrium centrifugation, ligating an obtained fragment to a vector, preparing a genomic DNA library, followed by screening the obtained library by the hybridization using a DNA fragment consisting of its partial sequence as a probe. |
