PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the resistance against breakage while maintaining excellent airtightness of a piston ring having a special abutment structure. SOLUTION: In a pressure ring provided with a cutout recessed part 2 in a corner part on a cylinder inner wall side 4 in an abutment end part 1 on one side, a projecting part 6 stored in the cutout recessed part 2 is provided in the other abutment end part 5, and a receive face 3 formed by an abutment end face of the cutout recessed part 2 opposes to a matching face 7 formed by an abutment end face of the projecting part 6, a clearance formed between the receive face 3 formed by the abutment end face of the cutout recessed part 2 and the matching face 7 formed by the abutment end face of the projecting part 6 is constituted in such a way that the cutout recessed part 2 and the projecting part 6 whose outer sides are larger than an inner end fringe 8 in the radial direction of the ring of the projecting part 6 are provided.
