PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separately partition plural broadcast programs continuously recorded at a time recording and to confirm them by automatically partitioning program attribute data stored based on the change of the program attribute data as another content. SOLUTION: Program attribute data is detected (partitioned) in every broadcast program and is stored in a picture recording attribute data storage memory 4, and a VISS signal is recorded on a magnetic tape 33. That is, the currently acquired program attribute data is compared with just previously acquired program attribute data. When the program attribute data changes, it is judged whether the program attribute data after change is a service code or completely ineffective data, when it is other than the service code or the ineffective data, the elapsed time from the point of time when preceding picture recording attribute data is stored in the memory is confirmed, and when it passes equally to or more than a fixed time, new picture recording program attribute data is stored in the memory 4 while broadcasting programs are defined as changed. The VISS signal is further is recorded on the magnetic tape 33.
