PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately know whether or not rewriting is correctly executed by communication terminal equipment by receiving data for rewriting from a center device, executing the rewriting of data, and automatically transmitting rewriting confirmation communication for indicating whether or not the rewriting of data is normally operated to the center device. SOLUTION: At the time of call incoming in response to calling from a center device, a center device is connected with facsimile equipment, and at the time of receiving the ROM rewriting request of an NSF signal indicating a non-standard function in a facsimile procedure transmitted from the center device, the facsimile equipment transmits an non-standard function setting NSS signal indicating that the ROM rewriting is available to the center device. The facsimile equipment receives rewriting data transmitted from the center device, stores the rewriting data in an image memory 10, and transfers the rewriting data to a rewriting ROM 12. When the transfer of the rewriting data is normally operated, a main control part 1 prepares the image data of an ROM rewriting confirmation communication report, and transmits the data to the center device.
