IMAGE GUIDE LENS STRUCTURAL BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce an image guide lens structural body even when the outer diameter of the lens is small, and to surely prevent light from entering through the surrounding region of a tip face of the lens. SOLUTION: An outer face 7 of a rod lens 4 to be connected to the tip of an image guide 3 consists of a cylindrical face 8 and a tapered face part 9 with gradually decreased diameter to the tip side. The tapered face part 9 is covered with a light-shielding resin 13. The diameter d of a lens tip face 10 and the outer diameter D of the cylindrical face are controlled to satisfy D/5<=d<=D/2.
