PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber having an optical demultiplexing/ multiplexing part demultiplexing/multiplexing a beam transmitting through the optical fiber with a small structure, and an optical demultiplexing/ multiplexing structure demultiplexing/multiplexing the beam between two optical fibers while coupling transmission lines of two optical fibers, etc. SOLUTION: A vertical surface 2a arriving at a core 1a is formed in the direction vertical to the direction of the beam advancing through the optical fiber 1. The optical demultiplexing/multiplexing part 2 taking out a part 9a of the beam 9 from the optical fiber 1 or multiplexing the beam to the optical fiber 1, is constituted of at least the vertical surface 2a.
