PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave oven in which soup or oil does not leak from a rectangular tray. SOLUTION: A microwave oven comprises a heating chamber 2, a recess 1a made in the bottom face 2a of the heating chamber 2, a stirrer fan 5 disposed in the recess 1a, a rectangular tray 3 made of a microwave transmitting material and covering the bottom face 2a of the heating chamber 2, and a silicon packing 8 bonded to the circumferential fringe of the rectangular tray 3 wherein an extended part 8a having thin upper fringe is formed on the silicon packing 8 along the opposite side fringes and the rear end fringe of the rectangular tray 3. When the rectangular tray 3 is fixed in the heating chamber 2, it is pushed down while applying the lower surface of the warped extended part 8a tightly to the side face 2b of the heating chamber 2. A protrusion 11 is formed on the bottom face 2a of the heating chamber 2 along the circumferential fringe of the recess 1a.
