PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily store a sleeper in a stacking shape, and to reliably prevent a movement by a train load after being laid by projecting one or plural projections on the lower end surfaces on both ends of the sleeper. SOLUTION: Plural projections 2, 2 are respectively projected almost just under rail fastening parts 1a, 1a of the lower end surfaces on both ends of a sleeper 1. These projections are formed in an inverse truncated cone shape or a inverse truncated pyramid shape such as gradually becoming small in a diameter in the lower end direction or a bar shape continuing by the prescribed length in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the sleeper 1. Then, when storing the sleeper 1 in a stacking shape, since the projections 2 operate as a sticker, the sleeper 1 can be stored in a stacking shape without separately using the sticker. When used in a ballast roadbed, since the projections 2 operate as an antislipping member by biting into ballast, dislocation by a train load can be prevented.
