PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate a change in the shape and dimensions of a bridge crane, when moved to a rail, by arranging one of joints between a main beam of the bridge crane and an end carriage for flexible motion or sliding motion so that the main beam may be moved to the longitudinal direction and rotated with respect to the end carriage. SOLUTION: A bridge crane includes at least one main beam 1, a hoisting device mounted on a trolley moved on the main beam 1 or on at least one main beam 1, an end carriage 4 arranged at the end of the main beam 1 for supporting the main beam 1, and wheels arranged on the end carriage 4 so as to be substantially moved along rails substantially parallel to the end carriage 4 for substantially supporting the whole crane on the rail substantially across the respective rails. Sliding means 10-17 are arranged between one end carriage 4 and the end of the main beam corresponding thereto so that the end carriage 4 can be moved to the longitudinal direction of the main beam 1 for relative rotation of the end carriage 4 and the main beam 1.
