PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the insertion of the forks of a hand lifter, prevent a paper bag at a lower step from being torn, and prevent rainwater from staying and caking dust. SOLUTION: In a four-way insertion pallet 6 made of a synthetic resin, the corners, intermediate parts, central parts of a front surface 1 and the corners, intermediate parts, and central part of a rear surface, respectively, are connected together with cylindrical columns 3, fork insertion holes are made as shown in Fig. between the cylindrical columns 3, and openings are made in parts of the rear surface where the fork insertion holes cross. The inclined parts are formed on the ends of the upper face of the rear face 2 which ends are on the fork insertion side and the opening side, and in portions where the cylindrical columns 3 in the corners and the cylindrical columns 3 in the intermediate parts are connected together and in portions where the cylindrical columns 3 in the intermediate parts and the cylindrical columns 3 in the central parts are connected together. On the lower face of the rear surface, lower-face plate- like parts projecting integrally from the edges of the lower ends of the inclined parts, situated on the four sides of the rear surface, toward the openings 5 along the edges of the lower ends.
