PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply-built and low-cost impact absorbing structure for vehicle transmission control devices. SOLUTION: A vehicle transmission control device 5 comprises a device body 7 and a shift lever 9 that protrudes from the device body 7. An impact absorbing structure of this device 5 is formed by securing the device body 7 to a bracket on the vehicle via an impact absorbing body A. The impact absorbing body A is fractured by an impact F that acts on the device 5 to permit the device 5 to move in a direction a in which the impact acts.
