PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for culturing a solid medium in a sterile condition. SOLUTION: This apparatus, a rotary cylindrical culturing apparatus 2, is made up of a cylindrical culturing vessel 4, a covering member 10 consisting of a microfilter 13, provided with a seed koji charge port 17 and covering the side face of the culturing vessel 4, and a rotary driving unit 5 functioning to rotate the culturing vessel 4. Using this apparatus, a solid medium is subjected to sterile culture. |
