PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce working cost required for installation of a frame and conduct smooth work for installation of a passenger conveyor. SOLUTION: An installation device which is erected on a floor surface 1a near the on/off getting part of a passenger conveyor includes a support 12 capable of tilting toward a frame, an expandable support holding part having both ends connected to the floor surface 1a and the support 12, respectively, a lift 14 mounted on the upper part of the support 12 for lifting the frame and an erecting means 34 for erecting the support 12. The support 12, when installed, can be erected by the erecting means 34 while supporting the support 12 and the lift 14. Similarly, the support 12, when removed, is tilted down to the floor surface 1a by the erecting means 34 while supporting the support 12 and the lift 14.
