<p>Sealing sections of the type as used for instance for sealing car boots, the problem is to secure permanently the section to the car body. Soft foamy sealing material with a minimum of permanent deformation offer rather poor characteristics for application by using adhesives. By using for the holding part a chloropren-type heavier material and reinforcing it, a more stab fixing base is created which, due to the absence of internal stresses in the material sticks to the car body. The hollow sealing part is fitted to the base by a lip at one end of the section and a shaped part overlapping the edge of the base at the other end of the section.</p> |
