PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incineration system for bulk refuse and liquid containing hydrocarbon having a fire grate for drying heavily wet refuse in order to facilitate transition to following combustion process and preventing adhesion of a material having high heat generation rate, e.g. plastic, being burnt at very high temperature from adhering to the furnace bed due to uneven heating. SOLUTION: An incineration system comprises heat resistant furnace beds 33, 34 mounting materials being burnt, an enclosed main chamber 32 having an opening for introducing solid bulk refuse and an opening for discharging gas combustion products therefrom, and fire grate means 234, 235, 236, 237 disposed closely to the inlet opening above the furnace bed means 33. The fire grate means 234, 235, 236, 237 hold refuse introduced newly through the inlet opening above the furnace bed 33 for a limited time and then drops the refuse while burning down to the furnace bed 33, 34. |
