PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate an MIPMAP(multum in parvo mapping) filtering with high quality by increasing the kinds of available colors without increasing the bit length of an index stored in a texture memory. SOLUTION: An index generating means 10 generates a second index index2 from a first index read from a texture memory and a texture reduction rate lod. Then, a CLUT(color lock-up table) prepared for each reduction rate stored in a color information storing means 11 is designated according to the second index so that R, G, and B color information can be obtained. The index generating means 10 and the color information storing means 11 are loaded on a texture mapping device. |
