PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display moving picture data with sub-pictures and sound with high quality in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: Moving picture data with sub-pictures and sounds are recorded in an SD-ROM drive 21. The drive 21 is connected to an SCSI interface 16 and an MPEG stream is speed-variably transferred to an MPEG2 decoder 18 mounted on a system board by using a data buffer 162 in the interface 16. Thereby constitution necessary for reproducing moving pictures can be simplified and moving picture data with sub-pictures and sounds can be displayed with high quality.
