PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject therapeutic agent for any of cardiac or nephrogenic edema that has an excellent therapeutic effect and can be orally administered by using a specific benzazepine derivative as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This therapeutic agent contains, as active ingredient, a nitrogen- containing aromatic five-membered ring-condensed benzazepine derivative of the formula [the ring B is a (substituted) benzene ring that has one or more N atoms, can contains one of O, S; R1 and R2 are each H, a halogen, a lower alkyl or the like; A is a single bond or the like; the ring C is a (substituted) benzene ring] or its pharmaceutically acceptable salts, preferably 4'-[(2- methyl-1,4,5,6-tetrahydroimidazo[4,5-d] [1] benzazepin-6-yl) carbonyl]-2- phenylbenzanilide}. The daily dose of this therapeutic agent is 1-80 mg and it is given in a single dose or preferably in two to four portions. |
