PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and small standard-size coaxial connector capable of increasing the impedance at a rear part of a simple recess and protrusive structure. SOLUTION: An integrally formed insulator 16 is located inside a metallic plate shell 14 for supporting a central contact part 18 of a connector. The insulator 16 comprises a cylindrical sleeve part accommodated in the shell while closely contacted therewith, and a rear part 34 comprising three ribs 60-64 having the internal end parts 68 radially extended inside and not radially constrained. The central contact part comprises a returned part 40 to be interference fit to an internal end part of the rib. The insulator forms a pin introduction part 44 on a front edge of the connector, and forms a connection part 80 between a rear part and a lead introduction part. The connection part is formed into the shape of a cylindrical sleeve along its lower half, and comprises an upwardly expanded slot 82 along its upper half.
