PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically track the amount of absorbed radiation of a target by stimulating a phosphor accumulating the energy of a transmitted radiation at a predetermined interval and evaluating the amount of radiation with discharged fluorescence as an electrical signal value. SOLUTION: Transmitted radiation dose received a human being or the like is monitored, for example, by a dosimeter with a photo-stimulable storage phosphor that is alkali earth metal fluorohalide in the form of a panel or the like. The dosimeter is provided with, for example, an electroluminescent layer and an identification means along with a phosphor panel, and emits fluorescence being proportional to the amount of stored energy from the phosphor due to stimulating light from the electroluminescent layer by specific reading equipment. After the amount of fluorescence is converted to an electrical signal value, it is sent to, for example, a central computer. Then, signal values obtained at a predetermined interval are stored and are compared with a limit value as the total amount of absorption radiation for evaluating, and the result is displayed, for example, at a location where radiation is used or an area near it.
|
