PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition excellent in flame retardance, smoke suppression, heat resistance, and softness by compounding a polyolefin resin containing a thermoplastic styrenic elastomer with a specified amount of zinc ethylenediaminephosphate. SOLUTION: This composition is prepared by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. polyolefin resin containing 5-95 wt.%, preferably 10-90 wt.%, thermoplastic styrenic elastomer which comprises hard segments derived from styrene and soft segments derived from at least one conjugated diene and/or its hydrogenation product and has a JIS A hardness of 50 or lower at room temperature with (B) 10-300 pts.wt. zinc ethylenediaminephosphate having a BET specific surface area of 0.1-20 m2/g and a secondary particle size of 20μm or lower and (C) at least one flame retardant selected from among red phosphorus, phosphorus compounds, metal compounds, and 1,3,5-triazine derivatives in such an amount that the sum of ingredients B and C is 10-300 pts.wt.
