PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction which must not occur caused by contamination on a switch part or the like in a switch structure of a safety device in a high frequency heating device. SOLUTION: This device comprises a heating chamber to heat food, a door to open/close an opening part in a front surface of the heating chamber, a door key base 36 which is interlocked with opening of the door to move vertically, a book spacer 43 rotatably shaft-supported to be interlocked with move of the door key base 36 to act, and a latch switch 44 to control supply of high frequency power, the hook spacer 43 is pushed by a spring 48 to return to a position where the latch switch 44 gets off, a gap between the hook spacer 43 which rotates to put the latch switch 44 on and the latch switch 44 gradually becomes larger in accordance with angular change to an off-direction, and release of the latch switch 44 from an on-condition of an actuator 45 to the off-direction can be smoothly performed.
