<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a switching element and the like by effectively absorbing static electricity intruding from the outside. SOLUTION: This device is a liquid crystal display device in which an active matrix substrate SUB1 having many scanning signal lines for applying a drive signal to many switching elements for selecting pixels formed in a display region, many video signal lines DL, pixel electrodes, and common electrode connecting terminals COM1 and a color filter substrate SUB2 having common electrodes constituting pixels are stuck through a liquid crystal layer, the common electrode connecting terminals and the common electrodes are connected through a conduction layer, while an outer periphery of a display region is fixed by holding a shielding material SL between them, and the device is provided with many conduction layers ITO3 formed at upper layers of video signal lines DL of which cut ends are disclosed at a side surface of the active matrix substrate SUB1 through an insulation layer and a wiring layer CCL connecting conduction layers ITO3 to common electrode connecting terminals COM1.</p> |
