PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize optimum charge control with satisfactory balance between a charging time and heat generation. SOLUTION: The temperature of a CPU 10 is measured by a temperature sensor 30 and the temperature of a battery 40 is measured by a thermistor 42. Furthermore, a charge controller 38 detects an overoll consumed current. Referring to a charge value table 38A, the charge controller decides a proper charging current corresponding to the CPU temperature, a proper charging current corresponding to the battery temperature and a proper charging current corresponding to the overall consumed current, and selects the smallest charging current from among the charging currents is set as an optimum charging current out the battery 40 is charged.
