PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce high-quality glass formed articles which are uniform in weights and shapes and are free from defects, such as striae and crystals by using a nozzle tip formed with a gold coating layer for degrading the wettability with molten glass on the outer peripheral surface of a nozzle body made of platinum or platinum alloy. SOLUTION: When the nozzle tip 1 is fixedly connected to the front end of an outflow pipe 2 and the molten glass is supplied to 1a from an internal passage 2a, the molten glass is dropped or run own from the nozzle tip 1 to a receiving mold 7 and is so formed as to have a shape complying with the shape of its mold surface 7a. This nozzle tip 1 is composed of a nozzle body 10 consisting of the platinum or the platinum alloy and the gold (Au) coating layer 11 formed only on the outer peripheral surface of the nozzle body 10, by which the wetting up of the molten glass to the outer peripheral surface of the nozzle tip 1 may be prevented.
