PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify maintenance by a simple structure and to separate inorganic particles descending onto the upper surface of a nonmagnetic metal plate from a grinding liquid without allowing the particles to be deposited. SOLUTION: An apparatus for separating sludge is equipped with a separation tank 4, a nonmagnetic metal plate 5 which is installed in the tank 4 and moves sludge S on its surface, and a magnetic conveyer 6 which attracts the sludge S to the surface of the plate 5 and moves it in the discharge direction. A grinding liquid supply pipe 7 and a liquid collection pipe 8 are installed in the tank 4. The supply pipe 7 is arranged below the liquid collection pipe 8, and the sludge S contained in the grinding liquid is settled downward to be deposited on the surfaced of the plate 5. The smooth surface of the plate 5 is plated with a metal or coated with an enamel layer, or mirror-finished to be mirror- finished surface 18, and the deposited sludge S is slid on the surface 18 to be separated. |
