<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle airbag equipped with a cover that prevents foreign matter from entering, which is capable of controlling and predicting a breaking point as well as conducting smooth breaking upon operation of the airbag body. SOLUTION: In a vehicle airbag system according to the present invention, a cover for preventing foreign matter from entering 29 is installed on an upper opening of a guide member that accommodates an inflator which generates compressed gas, and an airbag body which expands toward an occupant in the vehicle cabin by the compressed gas generated from the inflator to protect the occupant. On the cover for preventing foreign matter from entering 29, a rupture line 30 is formed which extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and rupture lines 31 and 32 are formed which extend in the width direction of the vehicle. Also, at the joining portion of both rupture lines, rupture point holes 36 and 37 are formed.</p> |
