PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pad identification information(ID) for copy protection in compressed and encoded digital contents without decoding the digital contents and to transmit the padded digital contents. SOLUTION: A TS packet including ID for specifying a set top box 13 is inserted into a TS packet string constituting a digital image to be transmitted through digital broadcast or the like by a finger print inserting part 133 and then transmitted. In this case, the TS packet including the ID is inserted as closed caption data constituted of character data for interpolating the digital image. Since the ID for displaying a source is padded in the digital image by utilizing the closed caption data, the set top box 13 of a copying preparation source can be specified by the ID even when digital images illegally copied by a digital VCR 14 or the like appear on a market. |
