PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve crispness that is felt when a shift lever of an automatic transmission is operated and to prevent a metallic noise from occurring when it is operated. SOLUTION: A synthetic plastic sheet body 10 is installed. A serrated portion 12 is formed on an outer peripheral portion and a detent pin buffer portion 13 is formed on an inner peripheral portion of this sheet body. The sheet body is installed along the profile of a detent plate 2. A hook 17 fitted to part of a shift lever 4 is engaged with the serrated portion 12 and a detent pin 5 is engaged with a detent hole 3. The engagement between the serrated portion 12 and the hook 17 improves crispness, while the detent pin buffer portion 13 damps a metallic noise that is generated from a friction between the detent pin 5 and detent hole 3.
