PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device with a small-sized, compact, and light mechanism for correcting the tracking error of laser beams. SOLUTION: In a light source unit 10 of an optical head device 1, a mirror 14 for allowing a laser beam Lo to rise vertically is supported by a pair of piezoelectric elements 18 and 19. When the pair of piezoelectric elements 18 and 19 are displaced in opposite directions, the direction of a laser beam that is allowed to rise by the mirror 14 can be slightly inclined in a tracking direction. Therefore, by controlling the amount of displacement of the piezoelectric elements 18 and 19, a tracking error can be corrected. The tracking error can be corrected with a simple mechanism for using the piezoelectric elements for the support part of the mirror 14, thus achieving the small-sized, compact, and light optical head device. |
