摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a cycle life characteristic in a high temperature region and a shelf characteristic by containing spinel lithium manganate or spinel lithium manganate containing manganese as a main constituent in a positive electrode as a positive electrode active material, by providing an organic electrolyte containing at least LiPF6 as an electrolyte salt and by specifying the dielectric constant of the organic electrolyte. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 is composed by storing a flat electrode group 2 comprising a positive electrode plate 3, a negative electrode plate 4 and a separator 5, and an electrolyte in a battery case 6. Active material paste is provided by mixing 10 pts.wt. of a carbon-based conductive agent with 86 pts.wt. of Li1.10Mn2O4, by adding 4 pts.wt. of polyvinylidene fluoride, by adding an appropriate quantity of N-methyl-2- pyrrolidone and by kneading them. The positive electrode plate is formed by applying the active material paste to both surfaces of aluminum foil and by drying it. The dissolution of lithium manganate at high temperatures can be restrained by setting the dielectric constant of an organic electrolyte containing at least LiPF6 as an electrolyte salt to 10-25.
