PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system for developing a more effective burglarproof function by operating not only the output of an alarm but also photographic recording by starting a camera without letting a third person who forced the input of a password know of it when a user inputs a password and unlocks a door involuntarily. SOLUTION: At the time of unlocking a door, the key of an intercom device 1 is operated, and a password is inputted. when the door is forcedly unlocked after, the password is inputted, a first operation is performed within a fixed time. Thus, an alarm output is operated, and a signal for instructing recording without chime is transmitted without letting a third person who forced the input of the password know it. A master CPU and peripheral circuit 9 fetches a picture from a CCD 8 of a camera provided at the intercom, and records it in a flash ROM. At the time of normally unlocking the door after, the password is inputted, a second operation is performed. When the door is forcedly unlocked, the picture is recorded so that the burglarproof function can be reinforced.
