PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly move a guide member with a simple constitution and effectively carry out restriction to movement of an endless belt in the direction perpendicular to the rotation without shortening its service life. SOLUTION: In this image forming device, a guide 332 is provided in a driven shaft 331 of a driven roll 33 and energizing springs 333 are installed in between a side board 335 to which the driven shaft 331 is attached through a bearing 334 and the guide 332. The size of radius (a) of the energizing springs 333 is set to be greater than distance (b) from the central shaft line 33c of the driven shaft 331 to a contact point B of a belt 31 with the guide 332 (a)>=(b). Thus, the guide 332 can be moved smoothly and the siding of the belt 31 can be kept down without damaging its edge part since the force F imparted to the guide 332 by the edge part of the belt 31 is received by energizing force G1 and G2 of the springs 333.
