PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eyepiece that eccentric backlash including the optical center of the eyepiece and a lens barrel sleeve is solved only on the side of the eyepiece, whose structure is simple and which is inexpensive. SOLUTION: As for the eyepiece having an eyepiece barrel 3 protecting an optical system 4 and an eyepiece fitting barrel 2 inserted into the lens barrel sleeve of an optical equipment, a centering ring 1 consisting of an elastic material is provided between the eyepiece barrel 3 and the eyepiece fitting barrel 2, and projected parts 1a equally arranged at least at three points are formed in the outer periphery of the centering ring 1, and the diameter of the enveloping circle of the tips of the projected parts 1a is made a little larger than the outer diameter size (d) of the eyepiece fitting barrel 2, and the enveloping circle is made concentric with the optical axis of the optical system 4 inside the eyepiece barrel 3.
