PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat ray-radiating fiber having excellent heat ray- absorbing and accumulating characteristics, excellent reradiating characteristics and excellent heat-retaining property and useful for cold clothes, sports clothes, etc., by adding or adhering an n-type semiconductor having a prescribed volume resistivity. SOLUTION: This heat ray-radiating fiber is obtained by adding or adhering one or more n-type semi-conductors each having a volume resistivity of 30-500Ω.cm, such as conductive zinc oxide doped with a metal and/or a metal ion. The conductive zinc oxide has the primary particle diameter of 0.1-0.5μm and the secondary particle diameter of <=5μm and is contained in an amount of 3-15 wt.%. The metal and/or the metal ion preferably comprise one or more metals selected from the group consisting of silver, copper, palladium, aluminum and magnesium and/or their ions.
