PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable rotation force of an operating wire for endoscope using a twisted wire comprising a plurality of metallic fine lines twisted to be smoothly and securely transmitted by giving residual stress produced by preliminarily twisting each fine line in the direction reverse to the twisting. SOLUTION: This operating wire 10 is made of, for instance, a twisted wire made by binding and twisting a plurality of stainless steel fine lines 11. For instance, a so called 1×7 twist wire made by spirally twisting six fine lines 11 wound around the center fine line 11a placed in a straight line at the axis line position is used for that. Each fine wire 11 is preliminarily twisted in a rotation direction B reverse to the twisting direction A of the operating wire 10 to give the residual stress generated thereby is given to each line 11. Thus the force in the twisting direction applied on each line 11 and the residual stress given in the direction reverse thereto are balanced to enable the rotation force applied on the operating wire to be smoothly transmitted. |
