PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a Lippmann type photographic material having enhanced dimensional stability in a heavy duty situation including high temperature, extremely high humidity, a rapid change of temperature or humidity or high mechanical stress by incorporating a transparent polycarbonate substrate and a silver halide emulsion layer containing a Lippmann emulsion having a specified average grain size. SOLUTION: The photographic material contains a transparent polycarbonate substrate and at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a Lippmann emulsion having <0.1μm average grain size. The silverhalide emulsion is an AgBrI emulsion having 90-99% bromide content and 10-1% iodide content. The emulsion has been ortho-chromatically sensitized with a compound of the formula. A polycarbonate film used as the substrate preferably comprises an aromatic polycarbonate derived from bisphenol A as repeating units.
